Questions about StarKind

Short answers about the free plan, members, RSVPs, flyers, newsletters and domains. Can't find yours? Email support@mylogin.club.

Is StarKind free?

Yes. The Free plan costs $0 for up to 50 members, and you don't need a credit card to start. It includes your community's page, the calendar and RSVPs, email newsletters, questionnaires, volunteer sign-ups, photos, discussions, a blog, sponsors, the Sales Corner, the simple flyer maker and a one-time trial of 3 Creative Studio flyers. Groups that grow past 50 members can move to the Club plan for $49 a month.

Who counts as a member, and who doesn't?

Members are the people on your Members list, including admins and people you added who haven't signed in yet. Mailing-list subscribers, text contacts, followers, pending applications and unused invite links don't count. At 50 members on the Free plan, everyone already in stays; new joins, invites and approvals pause until you upgrade.

Can our church, neighborhood or hobby group use it?

Yes. StarKind is for community groups of all kinds: churches, neighborhood groups, sports clubs, hobby and collector groups, artist collectives, nonprofits and volunteer organizations. Each community gets its own page and chooses whether people can join freely, apply to join, or join by invitation only.

What's our community's web address?

Every community gets a link of its own on StarKind, in the form starkind.app/?tenant=your-short-name, which you choose when you create it. With the Club plan you can also use a domain you already own, like yourgroup.org.

Can people RSVP or answer questionnaires without joining?

Yes. RSVP buttons in your newsletters and invitations work with one tap, without an account. You can also turn on a shareable RSVP link for an event, or a shareable link for a questionnaire, so anyone with the link can answer without signing in. Volunteer sign-ups and the mailing-list sign-up on your page don't need an account either.

Can we make flyers with QR codes?

Yes. Creative Studio makes flyers for phones, social posts and print — a 1080 × 1350 image or a Letter-size PDF — using your logo, photos and sponsor logos. You choose whether the QR code is for an event RSVP or a questionnaire; when you attach the flyer to an event, a questionnaire or a newsletter, the QR code opens that one. Every community can try 3 flyers free. Each event also has a simple flyer maker, free on every plan.

What happens after the three free Creative Studio flyers?

The trial is one time per community and doesn't reset. A flyer counts the first time you download it or attach it; starting, previewing and editing don't count, and using a counted flyer again is included. After the trial, the flyers you've used stay editable and usable. To start or use another design you need Creative Studio: $10 a month on the Club plan, with 10 AI backgrounds a month. On the Free plan that means Club ($49) plus Creative Studio ($10): $59 a month in total.

Does Creative Studio use AI?

Only if you want it to. Flyers are made from your own text, photos and logos; AI backgrounds are optional. The Creative Studio add-on includes 10 AI backgrounds a month. During the free trial, communities on the Club plan can make 3 AI backgrounds in total; the trial on the Free plan doesn't include AI backgrounds.

Does StarKind support email and text newsletters?

Email newsletters, yes, on every plan: write, preview and send them with your events, questionnaires and flyers. Texting isn't available yet. It's part of the Club plan and starts after a one-time carrier approval; once it's on, a newsletter can also go out as a short text with a link, from your community's own number, to people who agreed to receive texts. Club includes 100 text credits a month, and 500 more cost $15 a month.

Can we bring our own domain?

Yes, with the Club plan, as a $5-a-month add-on: one web address you own, like yourgroup.org, and its www version. You'll add a setting at the company where you bought the domain, and StarKind shows you exactly what to enter.

Can members buy and sell things?

Members can post items in the Sales Corner with a price and a description. Buyers and sellers arrange payment and pickup themselves; StarKind doesn't process sales or take a fee.

Can we collect donations or dues?

Your community can link its own PayPal or Stripe page from its Support page, so money goes straight to you. StarKind doesn't handle the money or take a fee; PayPal's or Stripe's own fees apply.

How do we upgrade to Club?

From your community's Plan & billing page. While online checkout is being finished, upgrading there sends StarKind a request; we contact you to set it up, and nothing is charged on the page.
